Additional A Light in the Attic (20th Anniversary Edition Book & CD) Information

Last night while I lay thinking here
Some Whatifs crawled inside my ear
And pranced and partied all night long
And sang their same old Whatif song:

Whatif I flunk that test?
Whatif green hair grows on my chest?
Whatif nobody likes me?
Whatif a bolt of lightning strikes me?...

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Shel Silverstein's A Light in the Attic is now available in a special edition containing the classic hardcover book and a CD of highlights from his Grammy Award-winning album.

Here in the attic of Shel Silverstein you will find Backward Bill, Sour Face Ann, the Meehoo with an Exactlywatt, and the Polar Bear in the Frigidaire. You will talk with Broiled Face, and find out what happens when Somebody steals your knees, you get caught by the Quick-Digesting Gink, a Mountain snores, and They Put a Brassiere on the Camel.

From the creator of the beloved poetry collections Where the Sidewalk Ends and Falling Up, here is another wondrous book of poems and drawings.

What Customers Say About A Light in the Attic (20th Anniversary Edition Book & CD):

The writing is brief and witty.the illustrations are basic but appropriate for the quirky writing style. My 7 year old now reads some of the poems himself. This is a children's classic.appropriate from the age 6-7 years old and up. I read many of the stories to my two boys.

Since I was a kid, my favorite Silverstein poem has been "Ladies First." After re-reading his work, and listening to the CD, I have to say that "Clarence" is new a favorite. Shel Silverstein is hands down, one of my favorite poets. I love this addition of "Attic" because it comes with a CD of poems read by Silverstein.

Very fun and funky book. A great classic, well made in hardcover and comes with a cd that has poems on it being read by the author.

Grandpa and Grandma. This is for iur 35 year old son and his son. we won't give our copies up.

Perfect for all ages. This is a great book to read to your little ones. The poems are fun and silly.
